Take a gorgeous Orcas Island setting in Washington State, add family, friends, and flowers, then cap it off with terrific times on the dance floor, and you’ve got a splendid wedding day as pictured here by EyeWonder Photography. The bride and groom search for “happiness” — and there it is, spelled out in driftwood on the shoreline! Glamorous shoes dress up a tree branch near where the gown hangs at the ready, billowing softly in the balmy air. Amid the splendors of the woods, family and friends catch a quick lunch, gazing at starfish, while the girls are getting the bride’s sash tied just-so. Gossamer-light gowns with graceful draping are the order of the day here, as is the bright sunshine. Here, the groom waits thoughtfully for his intended, until she shows up on the pier for their “reveal.”
They find tender moments, special places, in the sun and dappled shade, until at last the pretty maids are ready for procession. Silhouetted in afternoon light, the girls giggle and shed a few tears as the ceremony is witnessed by happy family and friends in handy white folding chairs facing the sea. Beneath a draped arbor garlanded with bouquets, the two pledge their troth, and soon there’s not a dry eye to be seen. After a short detour (is that the groom’s car slanted on the side of the road?), the newlyweds proceed indoors for toasts, a sweet dinner dance or two, and then they “bust a move” with friends well into the night. Finally, as stars come out, a magical unicorn escorts them into their future, as aglow with promise as the moon on the water.
