Phase I of Total Outdoor Enjoyment: Pesci Residence, Rue Group

Pesci Residence by Rue Group 01

With its graceful pool and spa, splashy gardens, and serenely green space, this back yard at the Pesci residence is a dream come true for its lucky family, thanks to a splendid design by California’s Rue Group, Inc. But dreams this lavish don’t come quickly or easily sometimes; in this particular case, the family knew they needed to update their outdoor space, but it was a large property and a large task to handle. The clients have a master plan, to be accomplished over a period of several years; these images represent the finished Phase I, featuring a new pool and spa, raised pool patio with a masonry bench “sofa,” and a fire pit for cozy evening gatherings. Elegant blue mosaics, fresh and inviting, both highlight the water features and help unify them.

Surrounding these watery havens, wide lawn and deck areas are perfect for catching some rays. Entertaining is easy here, too, with two separate areas that can handle widely different sizes and types of partying. First, there’s a roofed pavilion that includes a full outdoor kitchen and an expansive lawn for sports and games; second, there’s an all-white garden – the epitome of gentility and quiet, where the “girls” can gather for tea parties away from the noise. And all the outdoor “rooms” connect by stone walkways — especially great for the kids who love to skate, bike, and run the paths! Future projects are in the works for later, but family fun is the order of the day now in this fine outdoor escape by Rue Group.
