In a unique showing, the Elie Saab Haute Couture Autumn/Winter 2013/2014 Collection features embroidery on nearly every single piece in the collection. While this may seem like overkill, surprisingly, Saab pulled this stunt off quite extraordinarily. The embellishments were not overwhelming in showing, by any means, but rather refreshing and stunning. The red carpet ready gowns were delicate, showy, and perfect for the stage, runway, or any place that one would want to make a smashing appearance. The American classic, “Lady in Red”, is an appropriate backdrop theme song for the red gowns of the collection. The exquisite gowns were impeccable in stunning detail with a mixture of sheer, silk, and satin heaven, styled with excellence. The fierce red gowns had a proper and dramatic introduction in Paris, as seen in the video below.
The most elegant gown of the night was a lovely red satin vision, with a twisted wrap bodice, that flowed beautifully into a full, sheer skirt. The simplicity of the look and the deep, blushing red color made the gown magnificent to see. The gown was one of the few pieces not embroidered. An equally stunning, off-shoulder gown, with a horizontally sequined bodice and belted skirt, was enchanting. The rich red velvet scarf, hung backwards around the neck, added a wonderful final addition to the look. The parade of stunning styles continued, featuring light gray, royal blue, and emerald green gowns adorned with embellishments that were delightful. The styles ranged from princess cut gowns to a beautiful pants suit. The Elie Saab Haute Couture Autumn/Winter 2013/2014 Collection is an embellished charm that presented a perfect balance of beauty, elegance, and extraordinary detail.
