Best Yards with Pools at Stylish Eve in 2013

Yard plus Pool Irresistible the Best Yards and Pools 2013 11

A great back yard space needs a great pool — it’s a terrific addition to even the tiniest yard, turning it from simple green space into an inviting spot for entertaining friends or unwinding with the family. Here at Stylish Eve we’ve seen impressive back yards with pools and stately pool houses, modern re-dos that include lap pools in the “package,” and pool additions that seem to have developed there naturally as part of the landscape. Our favorites run from New York’s Hamptons to the Utah desert, from Atlanta to California, and from Spain, to Mexico — proof that great pool style knows no boundaries! That style works just as well in a tight space — as evidenced by the narrow pool tucked into one corner — as it does in a wide-open canyon spot with a breathtaking city view.

Nor is it always confined behind fences: check out the gleaming water running the length of a back yard deck and bordered by palm trees, or the wide-open decks bordered by lush lawn. Positioned at the bottom level of a magnificent modern dwelling, a wonderful blue pool is the center of a fabulous outdoor living area that includes a spa, a covered lounge area, and a raised deck for sunbeds. Pools frequently adjoin other recreational spots, such as the pool next to a net for volleyball or badminton; they can also have formal terraces, sculpture, or rock walls as accents, as many of these do. These, of course, are only some of the ways great pools make for great back yards — now, the only question is how soon to jump in!
