Behind the Faces of the Chanel Beauty Resort 2014 Collection 11

Cat’s eyes ruled the runway at the Chanel Resort 2014 Collection Fashion Show. Karl Lagerfeld, who cooked up a fierce look to complement the Chanel 2014 Resort Collection, which had an A+ in dramatics, was responsible for the striking eye make-up. The make-up artist committed an intense act of ‘beautycide’ when he went for a natural look combined with standout eyes. The electric blue eyeliner, dubbed ‘true blue’, and black eyeliner, clashed in a victorious barrage of unique beauty. The technique used to create the look was to first draw a thick black line up through the crease of the eye and then, to complete the dramatic eye look, an equally thick “true blue” line was drawn beneath the lower lash.

To finish off the runway look mascara, applied to the eyebrows and top eyelashes, added stunning definition to the look. To make sure the eyes were the center of attention, a neutral peach blush and foundation gave the models a fresh-face look. To finish the face, lip balm kept the models’ lips moist. Styled in a top-of-the-head French twist, the models’ hair gently swept their forehead. The models also wore fingerless gloves revealing shiny, black satin, fingernail polish. Karl Lagerfeld’s addition to the collection with his make-up artistry was incredible to see on the runway. The models looked flawless as they fiercely pounded the runway at the Chanel Resort 2014 Collection fashion show.
